Tewei Huang is an Industrial Designer based in Taiwan.
Tewei is currently creating product experiences at Microsoft Surface, where he leads industrial design work across Surface products, including Surface Laptop, Surface Pro, and related hardware explorations. His work involves concept development, design strategy, CMF direction, rapid prototyping, and close collaboration with engineering teams from early design stages to production.
Before joining Microsoft, Tewei gained experience at ASUS as a Design Engineer, working on commercial and consumer product design, including concept development, mechanical exploration, and product planning. Shih Chien University, building a broad foundation across consumer electronics, manufacturing, medical devices, and design education.
His work combines industrial design, engineering awareness, and hands-on prototyping, with a focus on creating products that are technically thoughtful, manufacturable, and human-centered.
Tewei’s achievements include multiple invention patents from his work at Microsoft and ASUS, as well as recognition as a finalist in the Lexus Design Award 2016 for his adaptive chair project.
